Arel did an absolutely fantastic job on the brakes for my Volvo XC90. From start to finish, his customer service was outstanding — professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Always have fantastic experiences here with Arel. I had both of my cars serviced here and he was able to show me where the problems are so quickly which showcases his extensive knowledge of the vehicles. I love his honesty and never overcharged me for the things that’s unnecessary.The price was beautiful and within reason. Also he loves small talks and was genuinely making good connections with the customers just like the friendly uncle from the family.10/10 recommended you will not disappoint.

My new go-to mechanic! Arel is amazing! Super friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Took the time to guide me through and explain some repairs that needed to be done and answered all of my questions. I have a European car that's 21 years old. It's basically mechanically sound though has a few problems, but it serves most of my needs. I just want to keep it going for as long as I can. Arel was incredibly helpful in helping solve what was necessary to be done, what could wait and what wasn't essential for safety given the age of the car and cost involved. And he quickly identified where to get the necessary parts. He's extremely knowledgeable after many years in the business, very professional and friendly. Highly recommended!

Amazing place. We came to them with problems and stupidly high quotes from other places, and they fit us in at short notice, made the process real easy, and were a lot more affordable. I won't go anywhere else from now on. He was also very generous with his time on the phone before I came in.

Just got a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) done at ABS Auto South Melbourne. Unfortunately, they didn’t inform me of the price beforehand and ended up charging me $330 for the RWC. My car is almost new, a Tesla, and there were no issues at all, making the inspection relatively straightforward. I was expecting a standard service to cost around $200. I’m not sure if this is the going rate across Melbourne now, so do check the price before even for a simple job.

Prompt, amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, they do not over charge you. I’m single, I’m young and a girl, so it’s hard attending mechanical companies sometimes alone. This place made me feel really comfortable and got the job done without confusing me lol.A+ would recommend.Also Arel is the best!

I had an amazing experience recently with Arel at ABS South Melbourne. Arel was was so kind, patient, positive and full of excellent knowledge. He did me a huge favour and helped me very last minute to do a roadworthy on my car the day before I was getting it registered. On the way home from work. Mounting bolt for my calliper fell off on the Westgate. Limped it to south bank called everywhere and found this joint. Showed my face there and he found me the bolt to suit and said merry Christmas charged me $0Absolute legend without him I’d be towing my car all the way home.

Just had my car break down on the weekend. Arel dropped by y place at 8:30PM after he'd worked all day to check on the problem for me. Absolute legend!Have been having my cars serviced there for over a decade. Trustworthy, friendly and helpful. Can't recommend enough.

I booked in here because there was good reviews and I needed an honest mechanic. ABS did a solid job!after getting a dodgy quote down the road in Port Melbourne, for an eye watering $2600, I was freaking out!Arel at ABS sorted my RWC for a couple of hundred bucks, turns out I just needed some new wipers 🤣You can trust these guys for sure

Wanted to give 5 stars since I first picked up the phone to Arel! Very straight forward in terms of what did and didn't need to be done. Found an additional repair that was required, vehicle was still done on the same day. Talked and showed me through all the work done, very professional - will only be coming back here.

I had a great experience when I took my i30 Hyundai to Arel for repair of a leak. It was the first time being to ABS Auto South Melbourne. Arel is a genuinely honest nice man and I will be returning to him when I need to service my car. He did not over charge and the problem was fixed in good time, as I waited.

This morning I had my car booked in as the Brakes had been making a squeaking noise. Rather than just leave it, Arel had a look at the brake pads, took it for a quick drive and after 20 mins reassured me that it was fine and no work was required. When I asked how much I owed him for his time he smiled and said nothing. HOW very refreshing to have friendly, efficient and honest service. This was the first time for me at ABS Auto but it will not be the last. And I have already recommended Arel to a Neighbour and I will to anyone else I know that needs an honest mechanic.

Best Mechanic I have found in 10 years. Every compliment for Arel is not enough. As a single Woman I found the holy grail, an honest, genuine, decent mechanic, that does a fantastic job and does NOT find a way to add on extras you don’t need!Cannot recommend enough!Thank You!

I went to see Arel at ABS based just on the reviews here on google this week.. and I can say, everything that has been said about this mechanic is true.. went in to service my 2018 Levorg STI and it’s running like new.. I would highly recommend Arel.. after such a positive experience he has become my go to for mechanic from now on👍🏼

A friend recommended me ABS and my experience was great.Needed RWC for my car and Arel inspected it. A few things needed to be done. Arel recommended me to someone who could fix it the same day. I went back to Arel for the second inspection and had my RWC certificate in less than 24 hours.He also likes having a chat with people which was nice. He explained everything clearly and I felt welcomed. Definitely recommending to see him if you need anything done on your car.
